With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kathryn Africa Terrizzi (Huntingdon, Pennsylvania), born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 3, 2019 at the age of 101. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Kathryn Africa Terrizzi to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John L. Read and Edna Read (Baldwin); and her sisters, Lucy Neely (Read) and Miriam Funk (Read). She is survived by: her spouse McKnight Africa; her children, Murray Africa (Elaine) of Mount Union, John McKnight Africa (Mary Jane) of Milton and Carol A. Bickel (Bruce) of Harrisburg; her stepchildren, Morris Michael Terrizzi, Jr. of Kulpmont, Mary Letitia Briggs (Rodney) of Centre Hall, Sarah Jean Baker of Huntingdon, Elizabeth Anne Payne of Spring Mills and John Anthony Terrizzi of Huntingdon; and her sister Frances Read Thurman of Everett, WA. She is also survived by twenty-four grandchildren; fifty-six great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
