Thornton Sr. of Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, born in Mahanoy City, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 19, 2024 at the age of 88. He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter James Thornton and Josephine Thornton (Rzepliński); and his siblings, Jack Thornton and Rosanne Ogrodnick. He is survived by: his children, Cheryl M. Thornton of Huntingdon, James P. "J. P." Thornton, Jr. (Jo) and Scott A. Thornton of Florida; his grandson Spencer J. Korman (Rayna Wise) of Newark, NJ; and his sister Genevieve Ziegmont of Morea.
