He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles William Potts and Alcine Scott Potts; and his son Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Dawn; his brother Daniel; and also Merle. He is also survived by six sons and daughters in law, nine grandchildren, ten step-grandchildren, two nieces, a nephew, and many great grandchildren and cousins.
