He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Hertzberg; and his son Andrew Hertzberg. He is survived by: his son Barry M. Hertzberg; his daughters-in-law, Donna Comolli and Tiffany Hertzberg; and his grandson Leon Hertzberg.

Donations in his memory can be made to the SPCA or any organization that helps animals.
