He was predeceased by: his parents, John Joseph Brophy and Gertrude F. Roder; and his brothers, Dennis Brophy and Michael Brophy. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Brophy; his children, Maura Suchar (Michael) and Christopher Brophy (Maureen); his grandchildren, Emily, Michael, Connor, Madison, Aidan, Ryan and Matthew; his siblings, Paul Brophy (Cindy), Andrew Brophy, Matthew Brophy (Angeles), Alicia Brophy and Robert Brophy (Ida); and his sisters-in-law, Marion Brophy and Jan Brophy.
