He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Irene; his children, Dr. Troy Levitt (Bill Dunnett) and Dr. Terry Levitt (Mike Garfinkle); his grandchildren, Mory Garfinkle (Amanda), Devin Garfinkle, Bryce Levitt and Cullen Levitt; and his great grandchildren, Ian and Michaela Garfinkle.
