It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Willis M. Gruber of Hummelstown, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 23, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Hamilton Gruber and Bessie Della Shive Gruber; and his daughter Dodie M. Gruber Blackwell. He is survived by: his wife Betty Ann Deimler Gruber; his daughter Brenda L. Sasa of Harrisburg; his grandchildren, Amber Hummer (Justin Naccarato) of Hummelstown, Amanda Wattman (Jay) of Duncannon, Lee Blackwell (Kolby) of Middleburg, Cheyenne Neilson (Bill) of Middleburg, Mikala Meckley (Gavin) of Winfield, Montanna Womer (Preston) of Middleburg, Shelby (Wyatt) of Middleburg and Alana Blackwell of Middleburg; his great grandchildren, Adleigh, Easton, Rachael, Landen, Kenleigh, Olivia, Gage, Kit, Everlee and Daisie; and his sister Marian I. Fansler of Bernville. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home (114 W Main St, Hummelstown, PA 17036). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc. (114 W Main St, Hummelstown, PA 17036). A burial will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 12:30 PM to 12:45 PM at the Shenks Community Cemetery (5880 Schoolhouse Rd, Elizabethtown, PA 17022).
