With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Velma A. Grimes of Hummelstown, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 6, 2023 at the age of 84. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Velma A. Grimes to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Smith and Mary Smith; her husband Simon A. Grimes, Jr.; and her sisters, Louise, Betty and Wilma.

She is survived by: her children, Kevin Clair (Tracy) of Mechanicsburg, Michael Grimes (Paula) of Missouri City, TX, Karen Eckels (Michael) of Grantville and Debbie Brooks (Myron) of Halifax; and her sisters, Pauline, Ruth and JoAnne. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to Residential Home Health & Residential Hospice, 100 Sterling Pkwy #110, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050.
