With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lois Jean Gillis of Hummelstown, Pennsylvania, born in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 14, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ivor Hughes and Margaret Chernavich Hughes; her daughter Linda Margaret Gillis Grier; and her siblings, Robert James Hughes and Mary Margaret Kozak.
She is survived by: her children, Karen Maureen Baker of Syracuse, NY, Joan Marie Hotovcin of Bear, DE, Peggy J. Basham of Hummelstown, Gordon M. Gillis, Jr. of Maui, HI, Keith A. G. Gillis of Felton and David B. Gillis of Odenton, MD. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.
