He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas William and Alda Mae Smith Byers; his wife Dawn Marie Pickel Byers; and his brothers, Kenneth Byers and Donald Byers.
He is survived by: his children, Lloyd Allen Byers (Stephanie Lewis) of Pine Grove and Joy Marie Byers McKee; his close friend William Kilhefner of Hummelstown; his grandson Michael Thomas McKee of Hummelstown; his great grandchild Makenzie Marie McKee of Hummelstown; and his sisters, Arletta Kaylor of Middletown and Janice Fogel.
