He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph R. Buchter and Helen E. Buchter (Hitz); and his son Robert J. Buchter. He is survived by : his wife Ethel M. "Dollie" Buchter (Clawser); his daughter Sherri L. Kanode (Kevin) of Elizabethtown; his daughter-in-law Barbara Buchter-Grandusky (Mark) of Lebanon; his grandchildren, Lauren Rice (Eddie), Timothy Kanode (Alexis), Andrea Dupler (Josh), Penelope Stables (Paul) and Benjamin Buchter; and his great grandchildren, Jett Bechtold, Anabelle Rice, Everly Rice and Titus Kanode.

Viewing was held on Tuesday, July 2nd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the New Life Church of Hershey (99 Valley Rd, Hummelstown, PA 17036). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 2nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
