He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira Koons and Mary Koons-Hench; and his siblings, Elwood Koons and Eileen Miller. He is survived by: his wife Joan W. Koons; his sons, Kevin W. Koons (Lori) and Stephen K. Koons (Dawn); his grandchildren, Jessica, Ryan, Sydney and Timothy Koons; his nephew Thomas Miller (Trudy); his nieces, MaryEllen Kepler (James) and Susan Mabie (Charles); and his siblings-in-law, Robert Heller (Nancy) and Carol Griffin.
