He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman J. Hoffer and Virgie Landis Hoffer; and his brother Carlton. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Kauffman Hoffer; his daughters, Sharon Manton (David) and Brenda Hoffer; his granddaughters, Lindsey Kolaric (Chad) and Angela Manton; his stepgrandson Ryan Manton; and his great grandchild Grant Kolaric. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and a nephew.
