She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Holsing and Mary Holsing (Mitchel); her husband Stephen Brnik; and her brothers, William and James Holsing.

She is survived by: her sons, Mathew E. Brnik (Julie) and Stephen Brnik (Debbie); her grandchildren, Adam, Taylor and Christina Brnik; and her great grandchildren, Austin, Ava and Brandon.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Humane Society of Harrisburg Area, Inc. Keep Dorothy's legacy alive by donating to a charity in need.
