He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude "Sonny" Templin, Sr. and Blanche Burkett Templin; and his sister Kathleen Ann "Kit" Finsterbush Owen. He is survived by: his significant other Dawn M. Eshleman Templin; his stepson Michael A. Ruizquinones (Jennifer) of Mechanicsburg; his brothers, David Templin of Palmyra and Michael Templin (Joanna) of Middletown; his brother-in-law Malcolm "Duck" Owen of Middletown; his nieces and nephews, Eddie (Rachel), Jo (Dave), Tim (Becky), Nikki, Samantha, Meg, Brandon (Brianna), T. J. and Dylan (Damion); and his pets, Poppy and Bella.
