He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Buck and Effie Buck (Farnsworth); and his brother Richard L. Buck. He is survived by: his wife Jane L. Buck (Sones); his children, Rodney Buck (Jennifer) of Hughesville and Holly Thomas (David) of Hughesville; his grandchildren, Mitchel Thomas (Courtney), Rachel Thomas, Jake Buck and Sarah Buck; and his sister-in-law Lucille Buck of Hughesville.

The family will provide the flowers and suggest memorial contributions to go to the Lycoming County S.P.C.A. in honor of Sonny's love for dogs.
