He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Haynes and Lillian Haynes (Fox); his son-in-law Elmer Polk; his siblings, Marguerite "Ma" Wicks, Grover "Mike" Haynes, Roland "Pat" Haynes, Glenn "Wease" Haynes and Evelyn "Betty" Bower; and his nieces and nephews, Donna Peterman, Lena Haynes, Gary Bower and Mickey Haynes.
He is survived by: his spouse Arla Gottschall (Taggart); his daughters, Fay Polk of Muncy, Doris King (Bill) of Hillsgrove, Shirley Glidewell (Stan) of Picture Rocks and Sandra Taggart (Buzz) of Williamsport; his grandchildren, Joyce Snyder, Linda Hendershot, Wes King, Walter King, Aaron King and Alan Glidewell; his great grandchildren, Derek, Nickolas, Carli, Jessica, Izabella, Gracie, Josie, Nathan, Ethan, Riley, Colin and Lucas; and his great great grandchildren, Tyler and Cole.
