He was predeceased by: his parents, John Harvey Sr. and Ruth Eleanor Van Buskirk (Fenstamaker); his wife Rochelle Van Buskirk; and his stepson Jeffrey Dowling. He is survived by: his children, Ruth Fry (Woody) of Hughesville, PA, Mary Albano (Chris) of Alpharetta, GA, Mark Van Buskirk (Michele) of Gainesville, GA and John F. Van Buskirk (Cindy) of Boonsboro, MD; his sister Shirley Van Buskirk of Picture Rocks, PA; his grandchildren, Cassy, Brad, Brooke, Lindsay, Joseph, Justin, Jake, Josh and Zach; and his stepchildren, Pam Hartsock (Paul) and James Dowling. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
