With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Harland A. Shaner of Hughesville, Pennsylvania, born in Muncy, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 21, 2022 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Shaner and Blanche Shaner (Craig); his wife Patricia A Turner; and his siblings, Verus Shaner, Arthur Shaner, Archie Shaner, Carl Shaner, Carrie Fry and Mary Peters.
He is survived by: his sons, Steven Shaner (Beatrice) of Muncy, Gary Shaner (Genna) of Muncy, Rick Shaner (Cindy) of West Newton and Corey Shaner of Unityville; and his siblings, Paul Shaner of Muncy and Sarah Harman of Hughesville. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
The family will provide the flowers and suggest memorial contributions to UPMC Home Health Care and Hospice or the American Rescue Workers.
