She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin F. Gates and Sara L. Vangorder (Reed); and her brothers, Larry Reed, Leonard Vangorder and Stanley Vangorder.
She is survived by: her husband Leo T. Bomboy, Jr.; and her children, Vicki L. Bomboy of Howard and Leo T. "Buck" Bomboy, III of Howard. She is also survived by six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and one great-great grandson.
