We bid farewell to Helen Kostyak of Houtzdale, Pennsylvania, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 11, 2025 at the age of 97. Helen touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her husband John A. Kostyak; her parents, Anna Zupich (Rustufshok) and Samuel Zupich; and her siblings, Evan, Peter, Thomas, Edward, Samuel, Luba and Anna Peacock.
She is survived by: her children, John Kostyak (Cinda Snyder) of State College, Thomas Kostyak (Jill Irwin) of Philipsburg and Maryann Patterson (James Patterson) of Springfield, VA; and her grandchildren, John C Kostyak (Megan Enis Kostyak), Kathryn K. Eisenhuth (Scott Eisenhuth), Brian Kostyak (Deann Kostyak), Melissa Folmar (Jakob Folmar) and Melinda Hanes (Martin Hanes).
A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Christ the King Church (123 Good St, Houtzdale, PA 16651). A burial was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Christ the King St. Lawrence Cemetery (381 Houtz St, Houtzdale, PA 16651).
