He was predeceased by: his parents, John Shimel and Mary Shimel (Petrovich); his wife Margaret Hutchison; and his siblings, Edward, Jack, Helen, Margie, Kay, Marie, Evelyn, Josephine, Betty and Agnes.
He is survived by: his children, Kathy Camberg (Dave) of Glen Hope and Thomas Shimel (Lynn) of Hawk Run; his grandchildren, Theresa, Carol, Beth, Dana and Jonathan; his great grandchildren, Ava, Stryker and Mauro; and his stepgreat-grandchild Siana.
