He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Hampson and Nadine Hampson; his wife Marsha "Spider" Crowe; his children, William H. Hampson (Nikki) of Claysville and Marcy L. Hampson of Washington; his grandsons, William and Dwayne Hampson Jr.; his great grandchildren, Arabella and Elianna Hampson; his son Dwayne Hampson; and his sister Diane Davis. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
