She is survived by: her parents, George Tiernan and Rachel Jackson Tiernan; her spouse Thomas E. Shaffer; her grandchildren, John Shaffer (Christine) of Washington and Steven Shaffer of Mineral Point; her great grandchildren, Abigail Shaffer, Elizabeth, Daniel and Heather; her nieces and nephews, Dolores Johnson of Perryopolis and Marie Myatt (Ed) of Bon Aqua, TN; and her brothers, Fred, Raymond, Charles, Louis and George Tiernan. She is also survived by two great great grandsons; two sisters.
