He was predeceased by: his father George J. Mortimer III. He is survived by: his mother Betty L. Mortimer; and his siblings, George J. Mortimer IV, Theresa Uenas, Susan Millinghausen and Dorothy Lange. He is also survived by two nieces and three nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
