He was predeceased by: his parents, Modesto Mendoza and Beatrice Baluyot. He is survived by: his spouse Ester Rosal Mendoza; his children, Cristina (Randall Rivera), Maricar (Patrick Desiderio), Pocholo (Honeyleen Mendoza) and Paul John (Aisah Mendoza); and his siblings, Maria Clara Romero of Elmhurst, NY, Priscilla Gatchalian of Hayward, CA and Honesto Mendoza. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
