He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Ekker and Victoria Ekker; and his sisters, Jean Davis and Marie Krason. He is survived by: his wife Sally Ekker; his children, Ann Elizabeth Ekker, Matt Ekker (Kim), Sue Muredda (John) and Karen Sharp (Chris); his grandchildren, Zack, Ryan, Tori, Eric, Gabe, Lexi and Ben; and his sister Evelyn Roman (Joe).
