He is survived by: his wife Bobbie Jo Helmick Ashton; his children, Weldon Ashton, Jr. of Monroeville, PA, Chris Ashton (Vern) of Mount Pleasant, PA and Stephanie Golden (Jordon) of Hedgesville, WV; and his siblings, John Ashton, Jr., Elsie Thomas of Connellsville and Ida Rhoderick (Bill) of Phillips. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
