It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley A. Sproul of Hopwood, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 14, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, C. Wendell Davison and Thelma Davison (Ridley); her former husband Trooper Ross E. Snowden; and her siblings, Lois Van Swearingen, Marlin and Gerald Davison.
She is survived by: her sons, Ross Snowden (Risa) of Gibsonia and Jeffrey Snowden (Deb) of Prescott Valley, AZ; her stepchildren, Loretta Spears (Billy) of Mineola, TX and Lonny Sproul of Hopwood; her grandchildren, Ryan, Kelly, Greg, Shaun, Seth, Jarrett, Colton, Samantha, Noah, Hannah, Michael and Meghan; and her sister Jenny Lee Zele. She is also survived by her 6 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 17th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 18th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, October 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Hopwood Free Methodist Church (114 Hopwood Coolspring Rd, Hopwood, PA 15445).
In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations to the Hopwood Free Methodist Church to support the food bank in her memory.
