He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Carter and Rilla Carter; his wife Barbara; and his sons, Kent, Lowell and Brian Carter.

He is survived by: his children, Mark, Terri Carter, Chippewa, Ellen and Joseph Antonetti; his daughter-in-law Lisa Carter; his grandchildren, Julianne Haines (Jeremy), Christina Carter, Joshua Carter (Ashley), Alecia Antonetti, Chelsea Carter, Michael Antonetti (Audrey Lane), Madison Bosler (Alec) and Sam Siple; his great grandchildren, Cole, Elijah, Aiden, Amaya and Eve; and his sister Roberta. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made one of Willard's favorite charities: Macular Degeneration Association, American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association or to St. Jude.
