He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael J. Barna and Mary Barna (Srafin); his son Richard Barna; his siblings, Michael Barna Jr. (Natalie), Barbara Ann Barna and Veronica Barna; and his siblings-in-law, Henry Klak, Edward Klak (Shirley), Sophie Andreatta and Dorothy DiNinno.

He is survived by: his wife Joann Barna; his children, David Barna (Deborah), Diane Canning (Tom) and Jon Barna (Becky); his grandchildren, Michael, Alex and Megan; his brother Robert Barna (Rita); and his sister-in-law Flo Jula. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Good Samaritan Hospice 146 Neely School Road Wexford PA 15090.
