He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Edward and Nellie Jane Christopher (Foor). He is survived by: his children, Carlton "Phillip" Christopher (Annie), Steven Christopher (Coleen) of Chapel Hill, NC, Jane Beck (Brian), Becky Beatty (late Lloyd Beatty), Samuel Christopher (Terry) of Fredericktown, OH, Herbert Christopher (Isabelle) of West Columbia, SC, Daniel Christopher (Trisha) of Bellefonte, PA, Sally Koontz (late Glenn Koontz), Everett, Nathan Christopher (Christy) of Fuquay-Varina, NC and Benjamin Christopher (Liz) of Matthews, NC; his sister Amy Keifman; and his grandson Robert Hoover. He is also survived by thirty grandchildren; sixty six great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.
