He was predeceased by: his parents, Gale Stephenson and Emma Stephenson of Virginia; his daughter Virginia "Ginny" Stephenson; his sister Gerry Deichler; and his brother-in-law Norman Ness.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Stephenson (Gianvito); his brother Earl J. Stephenson (Robin); and his siblings-in-law, Pete Deichler, Patty Ness and Joe Gianvito (Anna). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
