He is survived by: his children, Clark Merritts, Jr. (Sherry Jean), Richard Merritts (Anita Caryl), Michael Stephen Merritts and Valerie Maness; his grandchildren, Jamie, Brian Stacy, Rickie (Jade), Kelly (Charles), Kasey, Khristina (Drew), Branden (Robyn), Jeremy and Candace Nicole; his great grandchildren, Kinley, Katelyn, Zoey, Noah, Kayla, Amanda, Kasen, Kaylee, Cameron, Terra, Naomi and Emma; his sister Kathy Canady (Joseph Ellery); and his wife Diana. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
