He is survived by: his wife Betty Kohanowicz (Shreve); his son Shawn Byers; his grandchildren, Nya Felouzis and Alexander Byers; his brother Richard Kohanowicz; his nephew Richie Kohanowicz; his aunt Selma Fayad; his siblings-in-law, Kay Vogel (John) and Howard Wilson (Millie); and his close friends, Larry Short, Kati Nelson, Steve, Susan Roberts and Jennifer Toth. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
