John Brooks Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Brooks of Hop Bottom, Pennsylvania, born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 12, 2024, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, John is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that John's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John William "Bill" and Wanda Brooks (Sickler); and his brother-in-law Harold "BJ" Bender. He is survived by: his wife Laura Brooks (Bender); his children, John W. Brooks, III (Casandra), Douglas D. Brooks, Jared Brooks (Harlee) and Nicole Jayne (Jeremy); and his sister Emma Hinkley (Brooks). He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to American Heart Association.
