He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Jr. Bender and Grace Bender (Stevanus); and his sisters, Grace Gindlesperger and Dianah Bender. He is survived by: his children, William Bender (Jennifer), Evan Bender (Anna) and Stacy Spiker (Ronnie); his grandchildren, Dylon, Austin, Natalie, Zackary, Tyson, Maxx, Alex Bender, Sabrina, Amber and Katelyn Burkett; his great grandchildren, Brayden, Mya, Emily, Coltin, Olivia Boyer and Jensen Beeman; and his sisters, Betty Rhoads and Lois Drenning.

Memorial contributions may be given to Deaner Funeral Home, P.O. Box 555, Stoystown, PA 15563, to assist the family.
