He is survived by: his wife Linda Wells Coates; his daughters, Whitney Good (Scott) of East York, PA and Glenda Horning (Michael) of Birdsboro, PA; his grandchildren, David Pennington, Brian Horning and Brook Smialek; his great grandchildren, Kendall Jade and Ember Grace; and his siblings, Barry Coates of Gap, PA, Robert Coates of Downingtown, PA and Denise Swarner of Quarryville.
