He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph C. Proudfoot and Ella Nora Weaver Proudfoot; and his siblings, Louise Hershey, John "Bull" Proudfoot, Oscar Proudfoot, Chester Proudfoot and Evelyn Kuhns.

He is survived by: his spouse R. Fay Varnes-Proudfoot; and his son Mark Proudfoot (Joann Arters) of Downingtown. He is also survived by 2 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
