He is survived by: his wife Mary Carole Campbell Barringer; his children, Richard K. Barringer, Jr. Christine Boyle (late Jim) and C. Peter Barringer (Dawn); his grandchildren, Richard K. Barringer, III, Stephanie Barringer, Samantha (Michael Boyle) and Casey (Jacob Barringer); and his great grandchild Poppy Linn Barringer.
