He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Vance Gilfillan and Martha Gilfillan (Hannum); and his son Douglas Gilfillan. He is survived by: his wife Frances S. (Skiles); his children, Richard Gilfillan (Zhe) of Alexandria, VA, Anne Marie Tran (Khai) of Hollywood, MD, Kathleen Lumsargis (Mark) of Exton, PA and Alexander C. Gilfillan (Linda) of Thorndale, PA; and his stepchildren, Susan Miller (Richard) of Worton, MD, Robert Johnstone (Teresa) of Christiana, PA, Elizabeth Myrick (Harry) of Paradise, PA and Carol Herr (Ronald) of Parkesburg.
