He was predeceased by: his parents, George T. Beattie and Lorraine Beattie; and his siblings, Robert Beattie, Terry Early, Larry Slass and Janet Beattie.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Lambdin Beattie; and his children, Mark A. Beattie (Tonya), Christopher J. Beattie (Alison), Jennifer S. Beattie, Elizabeth S. Dorney (Duane) and Theresa A. Hobson (Thomas). He is also survived by ten grandchildren and one great grandchild.
