He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Joseph and Isabelle Evelyn Joseph (Cook); and his brother Les Thomas. He is survived by: his close friend Nancy Ellis; his son Bill Joseph (Kim Diehl) of Honesdale; his stepchildren, Michael Ellis, Christopher Ellis of Honesdale, Stephanie Jan-Stahl of Beach Lake and Sarah Ellis of Honesdale; and his siblings, Carl Thomas (Marilyn) of Danville, Sandy Edsall (Eddie) of Honesdale, Joan Howell (Bob) of Prompton, Alice Slaier (William) of Oakland, KY and Nancy Bose (Kevin) of Honesale. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
