He is survived by: his mother Claire Beach McHugh of North Carolina; his daughter Tara Janosik (Dan) of Blakely; his stepchildren, Angela Mercado (Jason) of Gouldsboro and Eric Head of Scranton; and his siblings, Trish McHugh, Johnny McHugh, Pamela Millen, Tommy McHugh, Peter McHugh, April O'Halloran and Jean Morris. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, along with his grandchildren.
