He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Mielnik and Mildred Mielnik (Zmuda); his brother Ronald Mielnik; and his brother-in-law Matthew Michalik. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Ann Mielnik (Thornley); his daughters, Tonya Wilson (Robert) and Veronica Danyo (Michael); his grandsons, Robert, Adam, Austin and Brandon; his sister Annette Michalik (Mielnik); and his nephew Matthew Michalik (Lisa).
A memorial service was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. John the Evangelist Church.
In lieu of flowers, Joyce has requested that donations be made in John's name to St. John the Evangelist, 414 Church St, Honesdale, PA 18431.
