He was predeceased by: his parents, John E. Lateer Jr. and Louiza Sharpe Lateer. He is survived by: his wife Kelli Lateer (McElroy); his son John E. Lateer, IV (Terri); his stepdaughter Kacie Johannes; his sister Brenda Lateer Preston; and his nieces, Heather Preston DeVries, Dakota, Amber and Jessica. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
