He was predeceased by: his wife Lorraine Cheely; his parents, James W. Byrnes and Catherine Byrnes (Dohm); and his son Robert Byrnes (Charlene). He is survived by: his children, Peter Byrnes (Cindy), James Byrnes (Donna Grissom), Mary Hayman (James), Catherine Byrnes, Veronica Byrnes and Elaine Byrnes; his daughter-in-law Imogene Hardy Byrnes; his close friend Shirley Ostrander; his grandchildren, Tennille Dozier, Denise Entrican, Michael Byrnes, Greg Byrnes, James Byrnes, Amanda Hayman, Sean Moran, Shannon Moran, Chelsea Moran, Margarita Marzovilla, Egor Marzovilla and Alex Stuffer; and his great grandchildren, Bryce, Blake Dozier, Jackson, Guiliana and Julian Byrnes.
