He was predeceased by: his parents, Harriet Rutledge (Cade) and Alfred Rutledge; and his siblings-in-law, Janet Tyler (Les Tyler) and Charles Morelli. He is survived by: his wife Clara Rutledge (Howell); his siblings, Raymond Rutledge (Betty Ann), Joan Yepson (Bob), Richard Rutledge and Connie (Gilbert Lawrence); his children, Amy Smith (Fred), Kate Rutledge, Melissa Rutledge (Eric Doutre), Doug Rutledge (Jamie Hendrickson) and Matthew Rutledge (April); his grandchildren, Zachary Smith (Ashleigh), Hunter Smith, Jarod Smith, Carmen Rutledge, Drew Rutledge, Rylee Rutledge and Morgan Rutledge; his great grandchild Clara Smith; and his siblings-in-law, Walter Howell (Janice), Joe Howell (Ann), Geve Morelli, Ed Howell (Nancy), Bugsy Howell (Pat), Jerry Howell, Jim Howell and June Seder.
