She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbur Olver and Beatrice Reynolds Olver; and her stepbrother Jack. She is survived by: her husband Franklin Bates; her children, Susan (Tony Gould), Cassandra (Stephen Knash) and Richard (Eleanor Doney); her stepchildren, Gary Bates (Debbie) of Waymart, Cindy Reed (Steve) of Honesdale and Sandy Menotti (Terry) of Florida; and her sister Gloria Domanski (Dave) of New Jersey. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, one great grandchild, several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; and several cousins.
Due to the covid-19 pandemic a private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
