She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph Johannes; her parents, August Planthaber and Florence Planthaber; and her siblings, Marion Swingle and Edward Planthaber.
She is survived by: her children, Joseph Johannes, Jr. (Kathryn) of Waymart, Kathleen Kotsifas (Nicholas) of Natick, Mass. and Daniel Johannes (Patricia) of Bowie, MD; her grandchildren, Dr. Bobbie Lynn Johannes (Jim Dempsey), Jenell Durland (James), Angela Kotsifas, Megan Johannes and Tiffany Johannes; and her sister-in-law Pat Planthaber. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
